Rigid optical nephroscope

A rigid optical nephroscope is an endoscope designed with a stiff insertion tube for visualizing and treating the interior of the kidney. It is introduced percutaneously into the renal pelvis to allow direct observation of renal anatomy and to assist in procedures such as stone removal, using either relayed lens optics or fiberoptic bundles to transmit images to the user.
