Dental soldering alloy

A dental soldering alloy is a fusible metal mixture supplied as a thin rod, used to join cast dental restorations or metal components by melting at high temperatures to form a strong bond. It is applied to fuse less fusible metals, such as those used in dental prosthetics or orthodontic appliances, through a soldering process that occurs at lower temperatures than brazing.

Once used, the alloy cannot be reused due to its consumption during the soldering process.
