From the company website
With genotyping, the technology used to detect small genetic differences among people, Ai Genetics can help empower clients. Our dedicated physicians and molecular scientists help individuals become aware of their relevant genetic makeup by assessing pertinent genetic information and distilling it down in a way that is easy to understand. Once armed with this useful information, individuals can make better choices to impact their overall health and wellness. How does genotyping work? The reporting uses a mathematical algorithm called polygenic risk scoring, which Ai Genetics Lab has developed in-house using up-to-date curated genetic information in our custom DNA tests. These are constantly being reviewed, updated, and revised to match the most current research and information. As new medical and scientific literature is released, we incorporate it into our custom panels so clients are always getting the most up-to-date information. Polygenic risk scores are also updated whenever new genes are added to our custom panels to ensure that all aspects of our genotyping take into account any new information as it becomes available. What’s it all for? These unique scores, which are devised based on knowledge from our custom, curated genetic tests and panels, can help predict what risk category an individual falls within, when compared to the general population, for a specific condition. The individual can use this information to adjust their lifestyle or take measured steps towards improving their potential outcomes and making healthier choices. Both the panels and the risk scores that result from them are completely proprietary – they cannot be replicated by any other laboratory.
